Whitepaper: The most important BGM key figures

In many companies, key figures have not yet arrived in OHM. Often only the sickness rate is measured as a success factor, which is certainly one of the most important key figures. However, it alone is not meaningful enough for successful OHM. It is well known that OHM does not only consist of health promotion, which is why occupational health and safety and integration management must also be taken into account. HR key figures should also be taken into account.

To date, OHM has been integrated far too little into the overarching controlling of an organisation. It is not only about social responsibility towards employees, but also about proving the economic benefits. Companies therefore need to ask themselves:

• How effective is our OHM?

• How effective are individual measures?

• Which key figures are crucial for making data-based decisions?

What are key figures?

In general, key figures are a quantitative representation of information and are intended to provide information about objectives and their achievement. They are intended to summarise important information in a concise manner and represent a simplified reality. With regard to occupational health management (OHM), key figures are intended to provide information on the effectiveness of OHM measures.
